Covaxin Jabs to continue for the first dose in T’Gana

Hyderabad: After a gap more than a month, the Ministry of Health has directed officials to provide Jab Covaxin to those who have not received the first dose.
For one month the covaxin dose is given only for people who receive the second dose.
On Friday, the authorities were asked to provide the first and second dose for people who qualified.
A request for Covaxin after Omicron’s new variant appeared, the official said.
The state has 35.76 doses of lakh vaccine which is 15.95 lakh doses is from covaxin.
Director of Health Office G Srinivasa Rao said vaccination had exceeded the national average.
The state has 97% coverage for the first dose while it is 87.94% in the country.
About 47% of people have taken the second dose in the state in 4.
This December increased to 56% on December 16.
The first dose percentage also increased from 91% to 97% on December 16.
In the state, 1.55 crore has taken both doses.
