Hyderabad: In a step that can open the door of the European market for Covaxin Covid-19 developed by the original, Bharat Biotech has received a good manufacturing practice certificate (GMP) for vaccines from Hungarian authorities.
The approval received is from the National Institute of Pharmacy and Nutrition Hungary stated GMP for making Covaxin, said Bharat Biotech on Thursday.
“The GMP certificate is now listed on the EudragMDP database, which is a database of the European community from manufacturing authorization and good manufacturing practice certificates,” said the company.
With this, the company said he wanted to submit documentation to authorize emergency use (EUA) in several additional countries around the world.
Covaxin has received EUA from around 16 countries, according to the company.
