Bhubaneswar: The daily case dipped in a new low 428 on Tuesday with a positive level of test (TPR) slipped further to 0.89%.
This country tested 48,086 samples on Tuesday.
In relieved, the rate of infection in the age group 0-18 also did not rise, remaining about 12%, lower than 18% previously reported.
Experts say except Khurda and Cuttack, where everyday cases vary between 100-300, infection in 28 districts is down.
Balalangir District, Boudh, Coraput and Nabarangpur have not reported a new case.
Ajay Parida, Director, Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) said new cases, after swimming, remained in a certain range for several days before falling.
“The trend now suggests that the Covid Odisha graph makes a gradual fall.
This will help active cases down significantly because the recovery is getting faster,” Parida said.
On Tuesday, 55 people in the age group 0-18 were infected, but inpatient and the severity of infection among under-control children.
Government officials said because of the weekend and heavy rain, the number of tests had been affected but would continue as usual to meet the testing target of around 70,000 samples every day.
The government confirmed four Covid deaths.
