Ahmedabad: On Saturday, the Ministry of Health Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) stated that 11 new micro detention zones carried the total number of micro detention zones in the city to 40.
The new detention zone is located in various fields such as Bodakdev, Satellite, Gurukul, Naranpura, Usmanpura, Ghatlodia, Shahibaugh and Nicol.
A total of 113 houses with 368 residents had been brought under the micro detention zone.
On Friday, AMC has stated 8 new micro detention zones in the area including new ranips, Vastrang and Navrangpura.
A total of 20 houses with 61 residents in two blocks of the housing community located opposite the Bodakdev police station have been brought under the detention zone while in Ghatlodia, 21 houses with 82 residents on the three floors of housing communities are included in the micro detention zone.
12 other bungalows with a population 64 in Nicol are declared a detention zone.
AMC has continued the practice of declaring a micro detention zone from November as Gujarat and Ahmedabad marking trends in the case of Covid-19.
It was stopped in May 2021.
“We have intensified the urge to enforce vaccines, there are no rules for entry on AMTS, BRT and public places such as parks and civil centers.
We have also asked the private commercial company manager to start checking the vaccine certificate Before allowing people to enter, “AMC official said.
