Covid: 13 more deaths, 90 new cases in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The death toll of Covid-19 in Uttar Pradesh rose to 22,689 on Friday with 13 other deaths, while 90 new cases pushed the number of infections to 17.07.127, according to an official statement issued here.
From new fatality, three reported from Amethi, two of the Pilibhit and each of Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Agra, Azamgarh, Ghazipur, Maharajanj, Bhadohi and Balromba, he said.
From new cases, 16 reported from Lucknow and 13 of Allahabad, a statement from the Government of Uttar Pradesh said.
In the last 24 hours, 162 patients have recovered and sent home, taking overall recovery to 16,82,741, he said, adding the recovery rate was 98.6%.
Counts of the Covid-19 case actively stood at 1,697, he said.
In the last 24 hours, more than 2.52 lakh samples have been tested, while more than 6.01 Crore tests have been carried out so far in the state, the statement was added.
