CHANDIGARH: As many as 1,230 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported in Punjab while the virus claimed 59 more lives on Friday.
A total of six deaths were reported in Amritsar while five people each died in Fazilka, Jalandhar and Mohali, four each in Ferozepur, Sangrur and Ludhiana, three each in Bathinda, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Patiala and Ropar, two in Fatehgarh Sahib and one each in Kapurthala and Mansa.
In Ludhiana, 140 fresh cases were reported, while 103 people were tested positive in Amritsar, 101 in Jalandhar, 91 in Patiala, 90 in Bathinda, 74 in Hoshiarpur, 70 in Mohali, 69 in Fazilka, 64 in Faridkot, 62 in Muktsar, 56 in Ferozepur, 45 in Gurdaspur, 40 in Mansa, 37 in Kapurthala, 32 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 30 in Pathankot, 27 in Sangrur, 26 in Moga, 22 each in Ropar and Tarn Taran, 15 in Barnala and 14 in Nawanshahr.
