Covid-19: 5% -10% of active cases that require hospitalization so far, the government said

New Delhi: About 5-10% of Covid-19 active cases have required hospitalization in the current surge so far, the ministry of health data shows even when the center warns that the situation is dynamic and demand for hospitalization can change rapidly.
Urging the country to monitor cases under house isolation and in hospitals, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan asked them to improve hospital infrastructure and human resources to fulfill the inpatient surge.
The center also suggests the country to take advantage of MBBS students in the past year, a junior resident, breastfeeding students and professional retirees to ensure there is no scarcity of health workers.
