Rajkot: Three more deaths because Covid-19 was reported in Rajkot City on Saturday even when the number of fresh infections continued to witness the downward trend.
According to Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), 716 people were tested positive in the city on Saturday against 958 on Friday and 1,008 on Thursday.
A total of 302 people were positively tested in Jamnagar Regency.
In the Bhavnagar district, five people died of Covid during treatment while 230 new cases were reported on Saturday.
According to the doctor, those who died suffered comorbidity and several of them had reported to the hospital at the last stage.
Doctors advise people with comorbidity to immediately consult a doctor in terms of symptoms such as Covid-19.
Within 24 hours at 5 pm on Saturday, Gujarat added 11,794 new positive cases, with a total of 11.44 lakh.
The death toll of state increases to 10,408 with 33 deaths again – seven in the city of Ahmedabad, four of the city of Bhavnagar, three in Vadodara and Rajkot cities, two of each in the city of Letters, Anand, Valsad, and one from Kheda, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad , Bhavnagar and botanocular districts during the same period, Gujarat vaccinated 73,808 people for the first dose and 73,044 for the second.
Overall, 5.11 crore has been given a dose of covid vaccine twice and 4.51 crore.
