WASHINGTON: Data Director of Covid-19 White House Cyrus Shahpar on Friday told that 50% of Americans are now fully vaccinated.
More than 8.21,000 doses have also been given in the US including 5,65,000 newly vaccinated people, Shahpar said in tweets.
“The average seven newly vaccinated days rose 11 percent from last week and 44 percent over the past 2 weeks.
50% of Americans (all ages) are now fully vaccinated.
Continue to go,” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Biden administration has not yet decided whether foreign visitors to the US with the Covid Russian or Chinese vaccine will be eligible to enter under the policy that will mandate vaccines for foreigners who enter the country.
A few days ago, the White House also told that the country would retain existing travel restrictions “at this point” because of concerns over the Delta Covid-19 variant which was very contagious and increased the number of US Coronavirus cases.
Spike in cases caused by the Delta variant that emerged from the virus has caused parliamentarians began to reconsider the new public health policy because it relates to vaccines, masks, and social distance.
