Thiruvananthapuram: The Chairman of the Pinarayaya Minister Vijayan has directed officials to accelerate the vaccination of the second dose of Covid-19.
When speaking at the Covid-19 review meeting on Saturday, Vijayan warned that it would not delay the second dose and said all local bodies must be directed at making bank data people have not fully vaccinated.
If there are people who show doubts in taking the second dose, they must be identified and persuaded to have Jab, he said.
The ministers responsible for each district and district collector areas have been asked to hold a meeting of local bodies.
The minister’s chairman has been directed to map the action plan to carry out the process to improve the drive.
He also pitched for a door-todoor visit if necessary to identify people who doubt the vaccine and to make it vaccinated, adding that the environmental level committee and Asha worker must be issued to increase the campaign.
All departments each must take the steps needed for it, he added.
The minister’s chairman also explained that only if the first line and second covid maintenance center must continue to function.
All local bodies are asked to be close to schools in their respective regions because the class has been continued.
He urged authority to take steps immediately if there were distributors reported in any school in their territory.
In a state so far 95.7% of people have taken the first dose and 60.8% of the second dose of vaccination.
As many as 1,62,43,808 people have taken the two doses.
At review meetings, he was observed that new cases fell 12.5% for a week compared to the previous week.
The number of people who go for hospital care and patients who need ICU beds have also declined in the state.
