PUDUCHERRY: The number of cases of Covid-19 actively fell to 0.8% in the Union Puducherry region on Wednesday, which was less than the national average of 1.3%.
Territory has so far reported 1.2 lakh cases where 1.17 lakh patients recovered while 1,792 people died.
A 42-year-old woman without comorbidity died of infection in the last 24 hours ended at 10 am on Wednesday.
The infection fatality rate reaches 1.5%, which is higher than the national average (1.3%).
Infection recovery rate reached 97.8%, which was better than the national average (97.4%).
Of the 923 active cases, 734 were under isolation and home care while the rest were in various facilities in the region.
Puducherry head office has a maximum active case with 693 followed by Karaikan (125), MAHE (74) and Yanam (31).
The health care authority has so far tested 14.83 Samples Swab Lakh which is 12.67 lakh restored negative samples.
They have so far been managed by 6.86 doses of Lakh Vaccine Covid-19, including the second dose.
