MUMBAI: Kenya has given 12 tonnes of food items into India as a part of its Covid-19 relief efforts,” a statement said on Friday.
The east African nation has sent 12 tonnes of coffee, tea and groundnut made locally into the Indian Red Cross Society, ” said that the bundles will be dispersed throughout Maharashtra with food assistance.
“The authorities of Kenya wants to stay in solidarity with people and Government of India through the time of their Covid-19 outbreak by devoting consumable food stuffs,” Willy Bett, higher commissioner of this African nation into India, mentioned.
Bett, who arrived into the financial funding from New Delhi on to deliver the food posts, said the contribution is led to this frontline care givers who would continue to operate long hours to spare lives.
