Thiruvananthapuram: Covid case analysis that occurred in the state in September has found that 7.9% of those who died because Covid was vaccinated with two doses.
Among the cases, 73.98% asymptomatic and 52.7% received in hospitals during this period were not vaccinated.
Among the first four weeks of this month, 1,435 deaths were reported in the state, where 114 deaths occurred among people who had received two doses and had passed two weeks after vaccination.
However, 827 deaths were among those who were not vaccinated and 378 of those who died vaccinated with only one dose.
The analysis, which was presented at the Covid review meeting held on September 25, has appointed that death reporting has dropped in the fourth week of this month.
Last week saw 296 deaths, when it was 348 in the third, 410 in the second and 381 in the first week.
Of the total death occurred this month, 57.67% were not vaccinated, 26.3% vaccinated with the first dose and 7.9% vaccinated with the two doses.
Another interesting finding in the report is an increase in asymptomatic cases in the state.
It was said that from 1.32,218 cases reported in the fourth week of September, 73.98% of asymptomatic cases and 26.02% were symptomatic.
Among these (1.32,218 cases) 48.32% (63,762) people were not vaccinated, 29.87% (39,417) people only took a dose and 21.82% (28,792) had taken both doses.
This month, half of the IP (in patients) receipt (52.7%) were people who were not vaccinated and 13.1% of them were vaccinated with the two doses.
The report said there was a downward trend in acceptance of IP in the state.
The overall R factor in the state in the fourth week of September is 0.94.
The highest is in Kottayam (1.06) and the lowest in Wayanad (0.72).
Three districts – Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki – have a factor of more than one.
