New Delhi: Those who recovered from Covid do not need to retest after seven days of house isolation, unless they recorded fever over the past three days, the Ministry of Health said.
In a series of new Covid protocols on Friday, the Ministry also said that the asymptomatic contact of Covid patients did not need to take the test.
Furthermore, said that patients who were clinically assigned as ‘light’ or ‘asymptomatic’ eligible for house isolation.
But over the 60 years and which with co-morbidity will only be allowed to house insulation after the right evaluation by the doctor.
Earlier this month, the center has cut the isolation period for covid-19 patients lightly or asymptomatic from 10 days to 7.
India witnessed a new wave of Covid infection, and many experts associated this with an Omicron variant that greatly transpaced.
But in the latest phase of infection, hospitalization and death remained low, compared to the second wave around the middle of last year, dominated by the Delta variant.
