New Delhi: Covid-19 infection continues to jump sharply in Kerala, with a daily case touching the highest 51 days 18,531 on Saturday, even when India’s calculation passes 40,000 for the second time this week.
In the past seven days, Kerala has experienced an increase in infection of 14.1%.
Calculate Saturday is the highest since June 3, when 18,853 cases are recorded.
The southern state and northeastern region are the only places that currently record a surge in Covid numbers, cut down the trend of the country that falls nationally.
Maharashtra finally seems to give some positive news.
In the past seven days, new cases have registered a relatively steep decline of 9.9%.
The country recorded 6,269 fresh infections on Saturday, down from 8,159 three days ago.
Meanwhile, India recorded 40,277 cases on Saturdays, and 543 deaths – almost the same number as before (540).
