Chennai: Chairman of the Constitutional Court of MK Stalin launched the administration of the Covid-19 vaccination booster dose at MRC Nagar in Chennai on Monday.
The State Health Department estimates that 35 health workers and the frontline of Lakh, senior citizens (60 years and above) with comorbidity, who received their vaccine dose before April 14 last year, qualified to get a booster shot in their nearest health center.
Among them, nearly 15 lakh people were estimated to be a population of the Bulk of Chennai Corporation (GCC).
List of 140 enhanced primary health centers (UPHC), where the Civic body will provide a vaccine, can be accessed on the official website of Civic Body https://chennaicorporation.gov.in/GCC/ Minister of Health Subramanian said more than 8.8 doses Crore vaccines have been given in Tamil Nadu so far.
In Chennai, around 91 percent and 71 percent each took the first and second dose.
