Toronto: Canada on Monday (local time) extended a flight ban from India until September 21 because of the risks caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
Canada has extended passenger flight prohibitions directly from India to September 21 amid eternal struggle of South Asian countries to contain the spread of Covid-19 in its borders, Sputnik said, reporting sputnik.
“Based on the latest public health advice from the Canadian public health agency, Transport Canada extends notifications to Airmen (NOTAM) which limits all commercial and private flights directly to Canada from India to 21 September 2021, at 23:59 EDT,” the department said in a statement .
The ban was first applied on April 22 and was rolled several times.
This is the fifth time the ban has been extended.
The ban will end on August 21, but now it will remain in place until September 21.
