Mumbai: Month to the omicron-covid wave in Mumbai, the number of daily cases fell to the lowest this year at 3,568 on Saturday.
Mumbai Kasel 29% higher at 5.008 days earlier.
Cases in the state also report a slight decline on Saturdays, but the daily detection number still stands more than 45,000.
The country added 46,393 cases and 48 deaths, with total kaseeload to 74.66 lakh and tolls to 1,42,071 deaths.
While Mumbai has seen a graph of rapid gains and decreases, Covid-19 cases in many other districts, especially in Pune, only now seeing improvement.
Changes in Maharashtra’s wise counting tells the whole story.
On January 7, when the Mumbai case peaked at 20,971, the capital city accounted for around 50% of the state calculation of 40,925 new cases.
Two weeks later, on Saturday, Mumbai’s contribution to the daily state Tally fell to 13%.
Pune at 18,729 new cases seem to have replaced Mumbai, because it contributed a little less than 50% of the current state counting.
Analysis a week on Sunday showed that between January 13 and January 19, the city added 61,712 cases, down from 1.22,258 cases added in the previous week.
In the same period of time, new cases in Pune District increased by 85%, from 38,556 cases to 71,537.
Covid Counts state rose to 2.87 lakh of 2.77 lakh.
Dr.
Rahul Pandit, who is a member of the state government assignment unit in Covid-19, said last week had been good for Mumbai.
“Not only the numbers in Mumbai are dropping, even the number of people who are looking for hospitalization,” he said.
Dr.
Pandit said that he had noticed small growth in the number of patients who came to the ICU seven days after showing the first symptoms of the Koronavirus infection.
“They have fever for one or two days and think that the infection ends, but they come to hospitals with hypoxia or low oxygen levels in the blood,” said the assignment unit member.
Most of these patients are senior citizens who have taken vaccines against Covid-19 about six to seven months ago.
Regarding death because Covid-19, Dr.
Pradeep still said that the death rate of cases in Maharashtra has declined over the past few weeks despite an actual rate increase.
“During the second wave, we will register nearly 1,000 deaths a day during the peak of the wave, but the omicron wave only sees a small portion of this death so far,” he said.
“Moreover, it is a vulnerable health group that now gets complications being treated at the hospital or face,” he added.
Senior state government officials said that with the number of new cases of witnessing a decrease in Mumbai, an increase in the lakeled kasel, even though it had not been stopped.
“Although the reduction of Mumbai relieves, the case of Koronavirus infection soared in smaller districts is concern.
Outside the city, the treatment protocol is not followed correctly.
It is seen that there is a delay in reporting cases and care, which will increase hospitalization and death,” said an official.
