Covid-19 cases of surge among children in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Coronavirus infection among children continues to increase in Odisha even because of the total number of new cases fell to 681 on Saturday, a health department official said.
The country has reported 849 new cases on Friday, he said.
Among new patients, diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, there were 118 children, namely 17.32 of the total new cases detected.
It was 14.13 percent the previous day, the official said.
Odisha has so far reported 10.1 cases of lakh covid-19.
Khurda district reported the highest number of cases in 222.
Four districts – Bolangeir, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Nuabada – did not report a new case.
Five more people died in the state, taking victims to 8,040.
There are 7,186 active cases in the current country, while 9.95 lakh patients have recovered, including 835 on Friday.
New cases detected after testing 67,229 samples.
