Beijing: China locks the city of five million people a day after detecting Omicron in Central Henan Province, the second closed in months, underlining the commitment of the nation to eliminate Covid as two very translary variants.
The authorities in the city of Anyang told residents not to leave their homes and prohibit the use of all vehicles after two people reported with the more contagious omicron variants on Monday.

The second city Shutet’s Lockown was full of China in 20 days, after the authorities told residents of Xi’an – around 650 kilometers to the west – to stay inside at the end of December as the deployment of the Delta outbreak.
Two other cities in Henan Province have also seen several restrictions, as the authority limits public transportation and dining options.
Tianjin, a port city bordering Beijing, imposed partial locking in two cities in the Xiqing district, according to the city government, because the outbreak continued to grow.
Ten cases transmitted locally reported on Tuesday, besides 11 other asymptomatic infections, according to a statement from the National Health Commission.
