Covid-19: Complete vaccination across a sign of 75 percent in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Complete Covid Vaccination has crossed a sign of 75 percent in Kerala because more than two crores, people have received the first and second dose of Jab, said the state government here on Tuesday.
As many as 2,60.09,703 people – 97.38 percent of the total population to be vaccinated, have taken the first dose of the temporary Jab of 2.00.32,229 people-75 percent – received second shots, the Minister of Health Veena George said here.
4,60,41,932 doses – both first and second, given in this case in the southern state, he said in a statement here.
“This is much higher than the national average.
Kerala has achieved this achievement when the percentage of first and second dose vaccination reaches 88.33 and 58.98 percent at the national level,” George said.
Nearly 100 percent of people have received the first dose in Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam, Wayanad and Kannur Regency, he said.
High Range Wayanad is in front of a vaccination drive complete with 85 percent of people who receive two doses of Jab.
Covid’s frontline health workers and fighters have received 100 percent of the first dose and 91 and 93 percent of the second dose, he said.
More and more women have taken vaccine shots compared to men in the state, he said, quoting numbers.
As many as 2.40 crore vaccine doses have been received by women against 2.19 shots by men, George added.
States that special vaccination drives are taking place in the state of Omicron’s view, the minister says Kerala currently has a stock of 10 doses of lakh vaccine, he also urges people to adhere to social blasphemy norms and other health protocols strictly and those who have not received Jab, to take it earlier.
