Covid-19: Delhi Records 238 Omicron Case

New Delhi: In the midst of a surge in Covid-19 cases in the city, Health Minister Delhi Satyendar Jain on Wednesday said many international travelers, who had been tested negatively at the airport, were testing positive a few days and infecting their family members during the period.
“Cases have increased due to international flights.
Even during the previous wave, the case rose with the flight that came,” Minister said to reporters.

There were 165 cases of new variants the day before.
The National Capital on Tuesday registered a massive surge in the Covid-19 daily with 496 new cases, the highest since June 4, while the level of participants also rose to 0.89 percent along with one death.

After the increase in the case, the Chairman of the Delhi Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday stated ‘Yellow Warning’ where schools, colleges, cinemas and fitness centers will remain closed.
Shops that deal with not important items will be open with a strange base, and the Metro train and the bus will run with 50 percent of the seating capacity in the city.
The yellow warning is imposed when the covid-19 peposititivity level remains above 0.50% for two consecutive days.
“Cases have increased but there has been no increased consumption of oxygen or the use of ventilators.
Most patients are healed without hospitalization because they have small or asymptomatic symptoms,” he said during online briefing.
The chairman of the minister convinced Delhies that the government was ten times more prepared than before to overcome the increasing cases.
Kejriwal, however, said it was not profitable that people visited the market and mall without masks and appealed to them to follow the appropriate behavior of Covid.
