RANCHI: Taking cognizance of the vaccination rate is slow within a few blocks of the district, Ranchi deputy commissioner chhavi Ranjan has directed the block development officers (BDOs) to improve the inoculation drive within a block of each other or are ready to process the department and pay cuts.
Ranjan made the remarks after chairing the 19th meeting of the task force Covid districts through video conference on Monday.
Coping with the media here, Ranjan said, “I have found the information a few blocks, such as Bero, Lapung, Mandar, Tamar, Kanke, Queen and Sonahatu, has a coverage rate of approximately 65% ​​and above are not satisfactory.
All these blocks have set targets and I have asked the BDOs each and medical officer in-charge to ensure that the coverage reached 90% and above by Wednesday.
If they fail to do so by Wednesday, their salaries will be cut and departmental action would be initiated against them.
” He further said, “I have directed the DDC Ranchi submit weekly reports of vaccination coverage after reviewing the progress of the block for a month.” In addition to improving vaccination coverage, Ranjan also directed those involved in the survey door-to-door to collect data from each booth about the migration of people before and after the first dose of vaccine.
“We’re conducting a survey that will be able to check the migration vaccinated population in the district.
It will also help us in making sure the number of people who will take a stab in the outdoors or their districts,” said Ranjan.
