New Delhi: The day after India increases the new peak with 88.13 lakh doses of anti-covid jab given in one day, daily vaccination seems to maintain its speed with almost 54 doses of lakh given until 9pm on Tuesday.
While the increase in daily vaccination was mostly driven by those who started their first dose, there were also a few weeks on Sunday to increase the second dose recipient.
So far, nearly 47% of adult populations have received at least one dose, while more than 13% of them get photographs of anti-covid vaccines.
The government aims to cover all adult populations by the end of this year.
A total of nearly 56 crore doses were given until 9pm on Tuesday, which included more than 43.58 first doses and more than 12.36 second shots.
The increase in daily vaccination is mainly driven by supply repairs and efforts by the central and various state governments to expand coverage and outreach, especially in distant areas and still vulnerable to infection.
The government also made aggressive efforts to ensure the elderly population borne as a priority with the two doses.
