Covid-19: India see 43K Cases, Kerala Logs under 30K for Day 2

New Delhi: Kerala reported less than 30,000 Covid-19 cases for the second day running when the Indian daily count remained above 42,500, but the death toll from the virus continued to lay plated with 305 deaths reported on Saturday, the lowest in 159 days.
India recorded 42,588 new cases of Coronavirus, almost identical to the calculation of the previous day 42,665, according to the Covid Toi database.
Kerala again contributed 70% of cases with 29,682 new infections detected in the state on Saturday.
Kerala has posted 29,322 new cases on Friday after lowering 30,000 cases in the previous three days.
The test level of the test in the state remains high despite a marginal drop to 17.54%, from 17.91% on Friday.
Meanwhile, active cases in the upper state 2.5 lakh, accounting of almost 60% of the national number of 4.1 lakh.
When death in Maharashtra, living under 100 for the third consecutive day, the national daily victims fell to the lowest since March 29, the last time the country reported less than 300 deaths in a day.
Maharashtra recorded 64 deaths on Saturday.
At the age of 142, Kerala was the only country that reported more than 100 deaths.
Maharashtra recorded 4,130 Covid cases while Karnataka counting fell to 983, the second time this week that the state has reported less than 1,000 new cases a day.
No major surprises in the number reported by most other states.
