The Indian community in New Zealand has rallied together in a show of support for India in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Last week, the first shipment of 72 oxygen concentrators arrived in New Delhi from Auckland, said Muktesh Pardeshi, Indian high commissioner in New Zealand.

Indian community and business leader in New Zealand Bhav Dhillon has been at the helm of the efforts to mobilise resources to support Indians hit by Covid-19 over the past few weeks and he has been working with Indian community organisations across the country.
Organisations like New Zealand Indian Central Association and Wellington Indian Association stepped up to help India.
“The speed at which the Indian community in New Zealand managed to get the oxygen concentrators to India was nothing short of amazing,” Dhillon, who is also India’s honorary consul in Auckland, said in a statement.
He gave credit to the 20 community organisations that are working hard to support India.
Another consignment of medical equipment is scheduled to be arriving in New Delhi from Auckland later this week.
