Mumbai: Covid-19 death in January increased by almost three times in December as the third wave set in all regions, according to the latest numbers.
However, the death rate (CFR), which refers to death between reported cases, is 0.07%, the lowest since the start of Pandemi.
In the second wave, the CFR has surged up to 2.5% height.
Experts say low CFR underlines that ongoing waves cause diseases that are less severe, less hospitalized and death.
The state has reported 661 deaths until January 26, an increase of 186% over December 23.
Maharashtra reported a new lowest position in Daily Covid detection until the third wave reached the end of December.
From 43,759 months ago, cases increased 21 times to 9.22,882 infections in January.
