Thane: Kalyan-Dombivli region reports a massive surge in the new Covid-19 case on Saturday.
Twin cities in the Thane Maharashtra district reported 112 new cases against 61 on Friday.
Also, two more people give up on the virus during the day.
Of the 112 new cases, Kalyan East saw a surge in 14 cases, Kalyan West 31 cases, Dombivli East 42 cases, and Dombivli West 17 cases.
The Manda-Titwala area reported three cases, while Mohane respectively reported two cases.
In accordance with the latest data provided by Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), 63 people were sent back, taking the total number of recovery to 1,37,799.
At present, 644 people undergo treatment within the KDMC limit.
The KDMC zone is the worst hit in the Mumbai Metropolitan region (MMR) due to Covid-19 pandemic.
