Thane: Kalyan and Dombivli twin cities reported 82 new cases of Coronavirus on Tuesday, as opposed to 38 cases a day ago.
Also, two more people gave up on infection at the limit of Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC).
This region is the worst attack in the Thane District, and has witnessed an increase in Covid-19 cases since the last few days.
With fear of the third wave that will come towering in cities, local civilian bodies have asked residents to celebrate the upcoming Ganeshotsav and other festivals in a strict way, and with strict compliance with Covid-19 norms.
Of the 82 cases, 39 was recorded in Kalyan West.
It was followed by 14 in Dombivli East, 12 each in Kalyan Timur and West Dombivli, and five in Manda-Titwala.
Mohane locality did not report a new case on Tuesday.
The total recovery in the KDMC limit also touched 1,37,975 with 57 people out in the last 24 hours.
At present, 644 people undergo treatment in Kalyan and Dombivli, officials informed.
