Varanasi: After a 22-day gap, a new Covid-19 case was detected in the district on Tuesday.
It also reopened the Covid-19 case account active after the gap of nine days.
In accordance with the night bulletin from the Chief Medical Officer office on Tuesday, a total of 3,593 lab test reports were accepted in the district where one person was tested positively.
Need a cumulative positive case figure to the mark of 82,397.
Of these, 81,623 has been cured.
Two positive cases were revealed in consecutive days on September 21 and 22, when the number of active cases was six in the district.
After September 22, there were no new positive cases detected in the district while active cases continued to reduce.
On October 3, the number of active cases also became zero in Varanasi.
