New Delhi: When the world continues to fight against the toughest battle with the threat of the novel Coronavirus on global health, another new emphasis known as the Lambda variant has conducted a round.
Scientifically known as C.37, it has been recognized by the World Health Organization, making it a seventh variant to be dangerous as the previously found variants such as Delta and Delta Plus.
The first variant of the lambda was identified in Peru last year has now run to more than 25 countries around the world with the latest cases reported in Canada.
South America and Europe have seen many cases of C.37 variants and trying to develop vaccines to overcome them.
Until now, India has not reported all the cases of the Lambda variant, the UNI Ministry said.
Some health experts and medical professionals have expressed their concern for the Lambda variant because it can be transmitted faster than the previous Coronavirus variant.
