Ludhiana: With the district that received a new stock of a 1.29 lakh covid-19 vaccine dose on Wednesday, Ludhiana would enlarge past 2.5 million signs of vaccination at the end of Thursday.
Interacting with residents on the official page of Facebook DPRO Ludhiana in its weekly live session, Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma said that until now, the Ministry of Health had had a shot to 24.23,128 people in inoculation drives.
He added that on September 16, the mega vaccination drive will be held at 270 centers in all districts, which means that Ludhiana will cross more than 25 lakh vaccination of milestones at the end of Thursday.
Sharma said that by making the fastest vaccination drive so far, Ludhiana is a leading district in Punjab in terms of immunization.
He said that the government had made sincere efforts since the inoculation drive began on January 16, 2021.
He said that the vaccine was the only way to curb the spread of Covid-19 and that it would immediately return to normal.
He added that the district administration would not leave the stone missed to vaccinate each beneficiary who qualified before the emergence of the expected third wave.
Sharma said Jab that saved the lives would help handle the possibility of the third wave and congratulated those who were vaccinated to make a successful trip.
He also asked people to continue to observe the right Covid-19 behavior including wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and cleanliness not to invite the third wave of pandemics.
