Covid-19 positive Odisha MLA visits public places, drawing sharp criticism

Bhubaneswar: The MLA congress from Jatni, Suresh Kumar Rautray (76), who was tested positive for the Covid-19 virus on Wednesday, aroused sharp criticism for allegedly violating home isolation norms and visited public places on Thursday.
After learning about Covid Rautray’s infection, Minister of Naveen Patnaik’s minister on Wednesday down to Twitter and hoped he would recover quickly.
Rautray, Mla six times, reportedly triggered panic among people when he appeared outside Jayadev Bhawan, his daily hangout.

Samandaayan was ordered under Section 269 (negligent action tends to spread disease and dangerous infections for life) and 270 (malignant actions likely to disseminate IPC disease infections and under Part 3 of the epidemic disease acting.
Bhubaneswar MP (BJP), Aparajita Sarangi was fined by Police Komisionce last year because it was not wearing facemask and violating social distance norms here in June last year.
