Covid-19 positive Odisha MLA visits public places, drawing sharp criticism

Bhubaneswar: The MLA congress from Jatni, Suresh Kumar Rautray (76), who was tested positive for the Covid-19 virus on Wednesday, aroused sharp criticism for allegedly violating home isolation norms and visited public places on Thursday.
After learning about Covid Rautray’s infection, Minister of Naveen Patnaik’s minister on Wednesday down to Twitter and hoped he would recover quickly.
Rautray, Mla six times, reportedly triggered panic among people when he appeared outside Jayadev Bhawan, his daily hangout.
People are seen keeping the distance from him, even though he asks them not to be afraid because the infection is light.
Rautray, who never wore a mask and always laughed at Covid, appearing near Jayadev Bhawan with his face partially covered by cloth.
The source said he also visited the Bhawan Congress here and interacted with several visitors on Thursday afternoon.
“Don’t worry.
You won’t be infected by me.
The infection is light in nature and I’m fully vaccinated,” said Rautray outside Jayadev Bhawan when observers shot the video in public places and circulate it on social media.
MLA is very veiled on different social media platforms for insecurity.
“We never expected such stupid behavior from selected representatives.
He has made ridicule of Covid safety norms and life threatened by several people by visiting public places.
The police must register the case against him,” said Satish Mishra, a user Twitter.
It should be noted that the sea coast police in Puri have registered a case against Satyabadi MLA Samandaay BJD in October last year for allegedly attending the funeral of Minister Pradeep Maharathy in Swargadwar despite being tested positive Covid.
Samandaayan was ordered under Section 269 (negligent action tends to spread disease and dangerous infections for life) and 270 (malignant actions likely to disseminate IPC disease infections and under Part 3 of the epidemic disease acting.
Bhubaneswar MP (BJP), Aparajita Sarangi was fined by Police Komisionce last year because it was not wearing facemask and violating social distance norms here in June last year.
