Covid-19: Puducherry forcing more sidewalks

Puducherry: The Puducherry Government on Thursday imposed additional restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Special Secretary (Revenue) and District Collector E Vallavan told reporters that additional restrictions that came to the direct effect would be valid until 31 January midnight.
In malls, complexes and market shops, customers do not exceed 50% of capacity must be permitted by ensuring adequate ventilation.
Public transportation between districts and between districts must be allowed to operate with a capacity of 50% seating, he said.

‘Kudamuzaku’ and ‘kumbabishegam’ temple must be carried out by priests without public participation / worshipers.
The exhibition must be carried out with 50% of the venue capacity at a time.
Vallavan said educational institutions must function as per direction of the Directorate of School Education and the Directorate of Higher Education and Technical in accordance with SOP.
He appealed to people to refrain from crowding and strictly adhere to the right Covid-19 behavior such as distance social and wore masks.
For query, Vallavan said the government had not received information from the Prime Minister’s office on the participation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the National Youth Festival, which is scheduled to be held from January 12.
