Covid-19: Punjab Packination Drops Again

Chandigarh: Drive Covid Vaccination has slowed again in Punjab because of drying inventory, throwing spanners in the state government’s plan to provide at least one dose to the population that meets the requirements at the end of October.

The last center has supplied around eight doses of lakh in the second week of September.
Against the allocation of 41.63,150 for September, Punjab received 45.25,610 doses – 38,49,690 from Covishield and 6,75,920 from Covaxin.
Punjab has so far managed to provide the first dose of the 71% vaccine from the beneficiaries that qualified 2.06 Crore in the age group over 18 years, while 24% have been fully vaccinated.
Of 31,21,725 ​​beneficiaries that qualified in the category of senior citizens, 91% have been stacked once, while 45% have received both doses.
The percentage of eligible population of 41,38,009 in the age group of 45-59 years vaccinated partially established at 77% and was fully vaccinated 33%.
In the 18-44 year bracket group, 57% of the population of 1.33.95,568 has been immunized at least once, and 10% have received both doses.
So far, 19,538,397 has been given, where 2,852,103 in Ludhiana, 1,884,419 in Jalandhar, 1,484,969 in Amritsar, 1,425,120 in Hoshiarpur, 1,313,289 in Patiala 1,192,725 in Mohali and 1,116,762 in Gurdaspur.
