Mangaluru: In an effort to prevent Tiples from Kasaragod Kasaragod to visit the wine bar and shop in the border area of Dakshina Kannada, Deputy Commissioner K V Rajendra has ordered the closure of all the outlets of liquor and copper shops located close to neighboring countries.

Therefore, the 24 Indian Liquor (IML) outlet and five copper stores functioning in the border area of Mangaluru, Bantwal, Puture and Sullia Taluks from Dakshina Kannada District have been ordered to close until August 15 with direct effects.
This prohibited outlet includes a wine shop, and wine shop in Dakshina Kannada, which is located within 5 km of the Kerala border.
“The Covid-19 case in Kannada Regency Dakshina increases despite taking all the necessary steps.
In accordance with the government’s orders, special supervision is being carried out to monitor the movements of people from Kerala, where the Covid-19 case has seen a sharp increase.

The DC has directed the Deputy Commissioner of the Excise Ministry in Dakshina Kannada District to enforce orders by closing liquor outlets.
Orders have been issued according to the provisions of the 2005 disaster management law and the 1965 Karnataka Act Excise, he said.
