Lucknow: After more than seven weeks, Lull, Kanpur recorded 22 fresh Covid-19 cases in one day, putting the country’s engine on a high warning.
Data showed that before Wednesday, Kanpur had recorded more than 20 cases on June 8 which was worried about the situation, Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister had instructed health officials to see the reason behind a surge.
Meanwhile, 89 new cases were recorded from all states in the last 24 hours in 34 districts.
Bulletin indicates that other than Kanpur, all other districts make one digit entry.
Hapur saw seven cases while ProAgraj recorded six.
The country now has 768 active cases where more than 560 are under house isolation.
One person died of a virus, took the total amount of Covid-19 death to 22,755.
Officials also said that the prevention protocol is a must as if cases might decline, the risk of infection remains high.
“The rainy season makes it easier for the pandemic virus to spread and therefore prevention becomes very important,” said a senior official.
