Chennai: After recording a decline in case for two days, Tamil Nadu reported an increase in new cases on Wednesday.
Reported 1,949 cases compared to 1,908 on Tuesday.
At the end of the day, the number of deaths rose to 38, but active cases fell to 20,117 after the country issued 2,011 patients.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Public Health said the negative RT-PCR test report or Covid-19 vaccination certificate (two doses) was mandatory for people who entered TN from Kerala State, who had reported more than 20,000 cases a day.

After coimbatore and Chennai, Erode, Chengalpet and Thanjavur reported 154,114 and 110 cases.
Tiruvallur, Tiruvarur, Kanyakumari, Pulajottai, Nilgiris and Ramanathapuram reported an increase of 15 to 10 cases during Tuesday.
Coimbatore restrictions, active cases are less than 2000 in all districts.
The state reported more deaths compared to 29 deaths on Tuesday.
Of the 38 districts, Tiruvallur reported five deaths, followed by three each in Coimbatore and Tiruvarur.
Tirupur and Virudhunagar impose more stringent restrictions like those in Coimbatore after increasing Covid events.
