Hyderabad: Telangana detected three cases of omicron variants which were very mutated from Covid-19 on Wednesday.
Of the three cases detected in Telangana, one patient from West Bengal has traveled to the country.
Three passengers who landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) Shamshabad in Hyderabad had tested positive for new variants, state health authorities.
“The three came from non-risk countries and we detected them during random testing.
One was a 24-year-old Kenyan woman who had landed at the airport.
Another 23-year-old man who came from Somalia while the third was the aged transit passenger 7 years who went to West Bengal.
We have traced passengers from Kenya and close contact.
He has been isolated at the Gachibowli Telananga Medical Institute (TIMS).
