Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 453 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Thursday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 8,137.
The total number of cases from the beginning of last year’s pandemic stood at 6.51,288 and the death toll was 3,836.
The number of active detention zones in this country stand in 26.
Jagiyal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
591 patients were declared recovered on Thursday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.39.456.
Case Fatality Rate (CFR) stands at 0.58% while the recovery rate reaches 98.18% now.
So far, 79.9% of the overall cases in this country have been asymptomatic while 20.1% have symptomatic.
On Thursday, 89,674 samples were tested for novel Coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.31 Crore and has reached 6.22 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 69 cases on Thursday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded 25 cases, Rangiteddy recorded 22 cases and Sangareddy recorded four cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Karimnagar recorded the highest number of cases with 55 new cases recorded on Sunday while Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam saw more cases.
