Thane: Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) announced on Thursday that there would be no vaccination of Covid-19 in twin cities on July 2, Friday.
It is the fourth day in a row that vaccination drive has been suspended in the city.
According to Civic’s body officials, the immunization of beneficiaries that qualified in the region has been stopped because of the unavailability of sufficient doses of vaccines from the state government.
However, the inoculation drive is only suspended for KDMC and the government-managed vaccine center.
The private center is permitted to manage Jab according to the number of doses they have.
Vaccination was suspended in Mumbai on Thursday and BMC quoted the availability of vaccines as the reason.
Meanwhile, because the number of cases of Coronavirus has dropped dramatically in cities, the Covid Tata Amantra treatment center, which has served as one of the main centers for Kalyan and Dombivli people, has been officially closed.
KDMC Head Vijay Suryawanshi thanked the health staff deployed at their service center for one and a half years, and said that deadly the center must be taken as a symbol of victory for the people of the region.
With the highest number of Coronavirus cases so far, Kalyan-Dombivli is the most successful area in the Mumbai Metropolitan region.
