Chennai: Analytics Data and company AI Tiger Analytics has partnered with IIT-Madras to design the Covid-19 dashboard response which can help researchers, policy makers and other interested entities analyzing various trends and patterns of Covid-19.
The dashboard will utilize publicly available data from various sources and the two entities are also supported by the Tamil Nadu Covid war room in this effort.
Pradeep Gulipalli, Co-Founder, Analytics Tiger, said as a new technology company they explored ways to help policy makers and researchers with the Covid crisis during the second wave and decided to make such a dashboard.
Data about Covid-19 is at various touch points globally and this tool will help find patterns in this data that can be further investigated to make decisions based on empirical evidence, he said.
“Today we make public dashboards and share them with a broader research community and policy makers, so they can identify and analyze trends & patterns to guide various decisions,” Gulipalli added.
With this tool, researchers can examine various aspects, including the development of new cases in various countries, daily deaths and the ratio of death cases.
Users can also track other key aspects of Covid-19 monitoring such as vaccination status, testing status, impact of mobility in new cases, seroprevalence and info about Covid variants.
It also allows comparisons in all states and districts in India as well as other countries.
Visualization can help someone clearly understand what control measures at the wave stage are proven effective.
This tool is currently being used in planning interventions and to increase medical resources.
“Most of our projects are selected in such a way that there are significant social benefits, and this work is an extension of our sustainable commitment to use AI for social goodness.
This collaboration is a natural partnership for us because we translate data science-based theory to the dashboard Followed up, “B Ravindran, Head of Robert Bosch Center for data science and AI in IIT – Madras, said.
