Covid-19: TPR Weekly More than 20% in 36 Local Agencies Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram: Countries that only have one local body with a weekly test level (TPR) of 20% or more in early August now have 36 local bodies with weekly TPR above 20%.
On August 1, Edaava was Lone Panchayat in the district with a weekly TPR of 21.7%.
But on August 27, four Panchayats in Pazhayakunnumnel District, Mudakkal, Kalllikadu and Uzhamalakal have recorded a 30% weekly TPR upwards with Pazhayakunnumnel recording the highest weekly TPR 33.1%.
Of all the local bodies, Mudakkal is the only Pancrayat who has not been able to tame Covid-19 for more than two months.
While all other local bodies succeeded in dropping the number of cases, the mudakkal case graph has more or less remained the same even when a lot of Panchays dragged themselves from the top of the second wave.
Like on August 27, Mudakkal recorded a 31.5% weekly TPR.
On Saturday, the active case stood in 456.
The Panchayat authorities said that the reluctance of infected people came to the Domiciliar Treatment Center (DCC) and the first line care center (CFLTC) and the presence of many colonies produced more cases.
“Mudakkal has 44 colonies in all wards; which is one of the highest numbers for any local body.
When we identify the main contact of infected people, they refuse to be shifted to the DCC or CFLTC and in a highly populated area, there is no way to ensure isolation The right room.
Share dining rooms and toilets causes the spread of fast infection.
This situation is truly challenging for us, “said the President of Mudakkal Gram Panchayat A Chandra Babu.
Of the 456 active cases, 377 people have chosen for home care in Pancayat.
The district has more than 50 local bodies with weekly TPR below 10% earlier this month.
When August came close, only 17 Panchayat managed to record weekly TPR below 10%.
While the coast of Panchayats is always displayed in areas with previous high infection rates, many coastal coast record weekly TPR under 10% and the lowest non-weekly district TPR is currently recorded in Poovar with 3% and 3% charums.
Another coastal ranches such as Karode, Kuliahoor, Anchuthengu also recorded TPR every week by 5% and below in this district.
The Civic Weekly TPR body has risen from 7.2% to 9% between 1 and 27 August.
While the increase in the number of cases of Covid has been proven, the level of occupancy of critical care has fallen between August 1 and 27.
On August 1, ICU vacancies in the district are 55% which are now increasing to 62%.
The ventilator occupancy which reached 53% has increased to 68% on August 27.
