Pune: The urban area of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad added less than 100 cases each for the third consecutive day on Saturday.
Overall, the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) continues to report more recovery than new cases in the last 24 hours, lowering the active kaseload to 3,817.
PMR added 382 new patients to 501 recovery on Saturday.
A total of 274 patients recovered in rural areas in the last 24 hours, while 126 patients were declared recovered in the PMC and 98 limits within the pimbrin chinchwad city limits.
About 8,000 people were tested for infections in the countryside, while more than 5,000 samples were tested each in the PMC and PCMC areas.
The region reported five more deaths because of Covid-19 on Saturday.
The area has so far reported 11.49 positive cases and 11.26 lakh recovered.
