Patna: The urban area of Patna is far in front of the rustic belt as far as it involves covid vaccination.
From those who meet the requirements that have received the first dose of their vaccines in the district, only 38.8% came from rural areas and the remaining 61% of urban areas.
This is released from fat which is calculated by rural people for 66.9% of the total population in the district.
In accordance with the data available at the Cowin Center Dashboard, 17,97,586 beneficiaries have received their first dose of vaccines and 5.4 lakh jab so far in the district.
The total population that qualifying in Patna is around 43.49.131 in accordance with the current population census projection.
From them, 14.3 lakh lived in urban areas and 29.12 lakh in rural areas.
According to district authorities, around 76% of people have received their first vaccine dose in urban areas and only 24% in rural areas.
The district government has set the target of the first dose of vaccines up to 100% population in the district belt at the end of this month.
In Bihar, around 65% vaccine is managed in rural areas and 34% in urban areas in the past week.
However, in Patna, it’s only 27% in a rustic belt.
Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh said the effect of Covid-19 during the more second wave in the urban bag in the district.
“The average level of front and death in the second wave is higher in urban areas when compared to rural patannes because of population density, mobility and interaction of people in urban bags,” he said.
DM added 76% of people had reached a jam gloth in urban areas in the district.
“We have set a target to autoculate 100% of the population in urban areas at the end of July.
The focus will then shift to rural areas.
Another reason for vaccination gaps between rural areas and urban areas is the limited number of vaccines we get,” Singh said.
In accordance with the data available on the Cowin Dashboard, around 13 men, 10.2 lakh women and other 484 have received their vaccine shots on Patna.
Among them, 12.1 lakh people have received a covishield, 11.5 lakh covaxin and 1,445 vaksin Sputnik V.
