New Delhi: With a city that records around 25,000 cases every day, weekend meal hours come into force for the second time this month starting at 10pm.
Earlier on the day, Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi government would reduce limitations if Covid-19 cases declined.
During weekends, only those engaged in providing important services excluded from movement restrictions.
While most individuals in the excluded categories can produce identity cards issued by the government, many others engaged in important services such as shops that deal with food and medicines, gas stations and cold storage must show e-passes issued by the government .
After exploring 100 low-floor buses AC, Kejriwal said it could not deny that the number of Covid-19 cases increased rapidly when the Omicron variant spread quickly, no need to panic.
“We oversee the situation and will only tighten the restrictions if necessary.
If the case starts to decline, we will relax the limit,” he said.
“We don’t need to panic, but we have to act responsibly,” he added.
“The rate of infection in Delhi has now reached almost 29%, but there is no reason to worry.
The number of patients treated in hospital is very low, such as the number of deaths,” Kejriwal said.
The government is prepared, he added.
The Delhi government clarified on Friday that the Delhi Disaster Management Authority order imposes at night at 10pm to 5 in the morning and weekend hours of night starting at 10pm Friday to 5am the next Monday will continue to “apply” to further orders .
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation reaffirms that services will continue to be arranged on January 15 and January 16.
Anuj Dayal, Executive Director of Corporate Communication, said the train will be available at a 15-minute frequency on the yellow and blue line, and at a 20 minute interval on all other lines.
Pregnant women and patients will be allowed to travel to get health services.
People go or come from the airport, the train station and the Interstate bus terminal can move by producing valid tickets.
Those who travel with public transportation need to show IDS or e-passes, and those traveling with private vehicles can be asked to generate the required ID or document.
