Thane: Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) on Thursday dropped many on unnecessary companies that violated the Covid-19 limit in twin cities.
As many as Rs 20,000 were collected in a fine of various stores sealed by the Civic body.
The action was ordered by the Head of KDMC Vijay Suryawanshi in the Ward of the Civic Agency.
The Ward Bharat Patil officer and his team conducted a surprise examination in four stores and a fine of RS 5,000 retribution from each.
The action was taken against Paris furniture, ganesh tea and cold drinks, Jay Matai Readymade shop and the center of Gulshan Mamma juice.
In addition, a deluxe wine store was sealed by officials for violating Covid-19 norms.
Kalyan and Dombivli currently fall under the Level 3 category of the planned opening of the state government, which according to him, non-essential stores can remain open only until 4pm, provided the right social distance norms and other restrictions followed.
