MUMBAI: As numerous as 2,290 kids in Maharashtra have lost one or both their parents because of this coronavirus disease up to now, sources said on Thursday.
Even though 2,183 kids lost one parent, 107 others dropped both the parents throughout the outbreak, the origins in the nation Women and Child Development Department stated.
“The government also custody of 10 from the 107 kids because there is no one to care for them” they stated.
The information about the orphaned kids was published based on the inputs provided by the district task forces led by the collectors.
The authorities had put a 10-member job force in every one of the 36 districts from the country to recognize the kids, who had been orphaned as a result of pandemic.
The task force may also oversee the agreements of the shelter and manage their adoption to make sure there isn’t any trafficking and manipulation.
The government also has set up a helpline number to find details regarding such children after obtaining inputs that anti inflammatory components were reassuring illegal adoption of these children for human trafficking.
