Lucknow: State government officials on Saturday emphasized the need to encourage people to register before walking to the vaccination center to make the inoculation process easier.
Officials say that public service centers in rural areas can be used to facilitate registration.
They say registration will reduce waiting time in vaccination centers and make the process easier for the health team involved in the task.
At present, it is not mandatory for people to register for vaccination.
Meanwhile, the 4.92 lakh dosage of the Covid-19 vaccine was given on Saturday by taking the total number of doses given in the state to 3.26 crore.
With this, at least 2.77 Crore people have taken at least one dose of vaccine while 48.2 lakh is fully vaccinated.
So far, covishield and covaxin have been given in the public sector.
However, several private centers in the state, such as Apolomedics and Medanta, have begun to provide sputnik based on payments.
